The garden would be demolished in the process of taking down an old outhouse and building a new garage; a design to rebuild the garden from scratch was required. The young couple had modern taste and enjoyed entertaining so the garden had to fit in with this. The new wall of the garage at the end of the garden also had to be disguised.
A strong geometric pattern creates the basis for this garden, a quarter circle deck with sunken lights sits directly behind the house. A circular lawn is partially surrounded with palisade poles with plants in front and behind to disguise the garage wall. A secluded corner incorporates the fish pool the clients desired, with seating so the fish can be admired.
